Not only is Fusion and Infrared Heat the best method available for asphalt repairs, but it is also considerably less expensive than the saw cut method. One of the reasons for this is that perfectly good asphalt is not unnecessarily being removed, hauled off and replaced with new. It requires a great deal of time, work and expense to saw cut and remove asphalt. Then there is the hauling and dumping of it, and finally you must pay for the new asphalt (which is probably recycled) and haul it back to your location. The asphalt that is cut out is hauled to a recycling plant, there it is heated, broken down, rejuvenated with the required oils and bonding agents, and sold as new. Even old and cracked asphalt is recycled and sold as new. With the Fusion and Infrared Heat process we do the recycling right on site. We have eliminated the saw cutting, removing the asphalt, hauling it away, purchasing new asphalt, and hauling it back to your location. This makes it considerably less expensive and considerably more environmentally friendly or “Green”. The second reason it is less expensive is that again, there are no saw cuts to crack fill. Crack filling is expensive and needs to be done every couple of years, so the expense is ongoing.
